Ways to Submit Url
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo
It seems everywhere you turn on the internet today someone has started another low-quality general web directory plastered with Google Adsense ads in the hopes of making some easy money from other webmasters who are trying to acquire backlinks and traffic to their site.

A web directory acts much like a search engine, but on a much smaller scale. Web directories are essentially a categorized index of websites that have been submitted by website owners. Directories normally have search features, allowing users to search through the entire index, just like a search engine.

A directory is simply a web site that contains a categorized listing of links from around the web. They aid surfers to locate the 'best' and most informative links for a particular category. For example a category may be called 'Home and Garden' and in this category there is list of links about home improvement and gardening.

Beware, that using this type of directory to build back link may not produce much. The quality of back links you get is not much. Most free directories are new directories. Their goal is to get other websites to list in their directories so that their directories will be filled up fast with content.

One time fee directories are another type of directory. These directories charge a one time fee for a site review and admission to the directory. This is a far better choice than free directories. To get an idea, having a link in one well promoted and maintained paid directory would be equal to having a link in one hundred free directories.

Directory submission is a form of site submission where the site is submitted to other online web directories. Here the site holder does not submit the site to the search engines seeing as the links produced because of directory submission itself lead the site to be found by the search engines.

Methods of Submission There are two ways to submit your site to directories. You can use a variety of software to do it automatically, or you can have the submissions performed manually. Both of these options have their advantages, but manual submission provides significantly higher quality submission. The following information should help you make your decision based on your needs.

Read the rules for directory submission and follow the directions given. Directory owners would prefer you to submit in an objective manner and in the third person. Describe your Website appropriately. Remember it is very important to describe your link properly for both the visitors and the search engines.

Submitting websites manually into directories is important since the directory can vary and target audiences as well can be diverse so this where SEO comes into action. If the shot to make a website stand out from the rest is done properly then that website will be more searchable and people will find it with no trouble and as a result more traffic to the website.

The directory submissions are made for the convenience of the user. No time is lost in getting to the required website. In a way, they enable quick search. As a matter of fact, there is no directory which does not have a URL. This URL is provided with an intention of providing space for the user. Experienced SEOs do recognize this advantage of Directory submissions.
