Common Blogging Mistakes
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo

This is the common mistake for those who are new to blogging and want to make money with their blogs. They thought they can make more money with more blogs; that's why they try to create as many blogs as possible at the same time. Although it's true, the more blogs you have and if every blog is generating money for you, you will make more money.

Use your blog to make your readers aware of other resources. Think of your blog as a digest service and share what you discover. Remember, blogs have a subscription feature called RSS, which mans that your blog readers are probably consuming your blog posts on their custom home page (such as My Yahoo, or Personalized Google). They will only stay subscribed if you offer useful content.

Writing in a boring, non-conversational style. The best approach is to pretend you are writing to a single person. That person should be your ideal prospect. Pretend you are having a conversation with them, one-on-one. And give your text personality by expressing your opinions.

The second best way to kill your blog is to publish low-quality content. Many people who start a business-related blog make the mistake of publishing only advertising content. If your audience feels like your blog is designed only to sell them something they will quickly abandon ship.

Not choosing the right title for your post

The title is the first contact point between you and your blog readers, if your titles failed to impact the reader, your post might not be read. How many times have you simply chuck in the title after you have complete writing the content? Its very common for top bloggers to use interesting titles to catch the readers attention. Why not spent a little more time on your titles.

Too many bloggers don't take the time to identify their niche, and their Tribe. The niche is the market category they want to compete in. Their Tribe is the group of followers they are trying to build, whether it be customers, fans, donors, etc. It's imperative that you take the time to identify exactly who you are blogging too. What are their likes and dislikes? What are their concerns and fears?

Copy and Paste Duplicating any other blog is big mistake. Your blog should be unique just as you are unique. You can blog about the same issues but you don't need to write the same thing Give your opinion because that's what Blogging is all about. That is what will make your blog stand out from other blogs in the blog-sphere.

Your blog needs to have some goals. Is it a search engine optimization technique? A sales and marketing mechanism? Or just to open up your business brand to give a bit more exposure? If you don't know what you goal is, then how can you know what should be writing about?

Too many banners and pictures. At one time having banners and pictures on a website made it stand out and caught peoples' eyes. But Not today, too flashy of a website and visitors will leave. Having to many banners and pictures, especially moving pictures, will distract your visitors from doing what you want them to do.

All about Email Marketing
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo

Email Marketing has come a long way since its introduction in the late nineties. Once the effectiveness of emailing customers was as disputed as social media marketing is now - but today, practically every major business and most other types of organisations engage in some form of email marketing.

Beginning an email marketing list does not have to be labor intensive. It is actually quite simple and inexpensive. Having an automated follow up system is mandatory if you expect to succeed online. The costs are nominal and will considerably increase profitability.

In your email marketing, avoid coming across as sloppy and unprofessional, as this also takes away the interest from your product. There should be no misspelled words or wrong grammar throughout the marketing email and the design and style of writing should be immaculate.

Do not make every email you send out an attempt to promote something to list members. It is important that you develop some type of 'casual' relationship with list members. By constantly 'beating them over the head' with relentless promotions they are likely to tire of this and unsubscribe from the list.

This is an effective and suitable procedure with which to begin your marketing endeavor. Autoresponder services such as Aweber or GetResponse are an easy way to start building your subscription list. Other autoresponder services are available, but those two are the best ones. Once you sign up with them, generate a subscription form and put it on your site to get people to opt-in with their email address. You've now completed the first step in establishing a successful campaign that won't get you into trouble over spamming.

Good email marketing tools are somewhat hard to define. Marketing emails and spam are sometimes lumped into the same definition by savvy consumers. So it’s important to arm yourself with the first tool, which is proper use. Proper use of an email list means that you’re not continually spamming the consumer for no apparent reason.

Keep your layout professional and simple. Do not overload it with flashy graphics. Make it as short yet relevant as possible. Your visitors do not have much time to read a lengthy product description. This is not the right time to give detailed account about your product or services. This type of layout usually overwhelms customers and your file goes to the trash bin immediately.

Email list marketing is a marketing model that has proven to be highly-effective. Only stay calm and centered in the initial phase as your efforts gain momentum. In the simplest form, the purpose is togather names and email addresses in return for something of interest to your visitor.

Email marketing plays major role in marketing as the combination of Internet and business enables the online businesses to have quick growth and brings good profit to them. Email marketing is helpful in delivering the clear idea with right proposal at the correct time, and when it is targeted right audience with effectively design.

Lastly, email marketing provides a quicker response as average response to your internet marketing is observed in just one to three days. Executing email campaign is also effortless as you can do it by just clicking things at your computer at the convenience of your home.

Most Common PPC Mistakes
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is the fastest way to drive instant traffic to your website but it may cause you to loss money if you did not use the right techniques to create effective ads that can make money especially if you use Google AdWords as your advertising platform. AdWords PPC is the most competitive advertising channels where most of online marketers are trying to utilize it to generate profits

A very common mistake is to not turn off the content network ads. The content network are all the pages that use Google´s AdSense and the quality of this traffic is usually not very good. To forget to turn off, or just not knowing about the content network ads being enabled by default can cost you quite a bit of money with very little or no return.

Using mostly generic keywords and keywords everyone else is using: Avoid generic keywords, they are usually expensive and they don't convert very well. Mix in some long-tail keywords and some very specific "buyer" keywords. Also, be creative and come up with some new terms, no one (or almost no one) else is using.

The second common mistake is using the most popular keywords. Lets face it, the most common keywords are dominated by the "Gurus" . They drive the cost per click of these keywords so high, the average Joe like you can't afford to compete. You get a few "crumbs", but never front page exposure.

The third mistake is electing to show in the content network without changing your bid. The content network tends to convert less than those showing in search. PPCs and AdWords in particular give the option of bidding different prices for content and search displays. Bidding the same price for search and content when content converts less is the definition of insanity in PPC.

You should be using a large list of keywords when creating your Adwords Campaign. However don't just put them into one ad group. You must create multiple ad groups with a small amount of related keywords in each. This allows you to target your ads for only that group of keywords. Using highly targeted groups will greatly increase your ads' click-through rates.

One of the most common mistakes with pay per click is not tracking the results, visitors and overall traffic. Since all advertisements cost money it is best to know where traffic is coming from. The best method for a particular site can be determined and more resources can be allocated to that method. Now understand that this might not work for all sites, it can be very different making it important to track!

All search engines use a different method for determining your ad's position and impressions. Google for example use a combination of ad relevancy (how relevant your ad is to the keywords you bid on and the relevance of the landing page your visitors land on) and your bid price.

As it has been earlier, PPC is the most effective way to drive highly targeted traffic to your website. So if you want to make the most money from PPC, you have to do it the right way. The deadly mistakes explained above will help you to focus on the most critical PPC marketing components and to avoid the so called PPC killer practices so as to get the most success from your efforts and investment.

How to Target Best Keywords
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo

Choosing keywords is more complicated than simply choosing the keywords that you assume people search for most often. Doing so usually results in lack of traffic and/or lack of sales. Either you might not get sufficient traffic from those keywords or those keywords might not convert well. Here are some metrics to consider for choosing the best keywords to target with your website.

As you look for keyword phrases don't overlook the search engines. Google for instance has various commands you can use to help you find your special keywords for your niche site. One command is "allinanchor: keyword phrase". This command will find the number of websites using the specified keyword or phrase in internal or external anchor text.

The best keyword tool now becomes be the mind of the consumer, in a weird way. You just need to be able to predict what they'll be searching for, and then what they'll be entering into Google to find it. Sound hard? Well maybe it is, and maybe it isn't. One way for you to get into the mind of your potential customers is to find out as much about them as you can.

Use keyword suggestion tools. Right now, there are so many keyword suggestion tools that are available in the online arena. While some are paid, there are those that you can use for free just like the one that is offered by Google. You don't need to pay as Google's AdWord keyword tool is very reliable.

This can be done by using the many different keyword searches that is offered by Google AdWords. There are three types of searches that can help you to bid on the best keywords for your site. The first is an exact search which only allows you to bid on the exact phrasing of the keyword phrase. This means that if "golf putter" is the keyword phrase then when a natural search is conducted using this phrase, your site is going to come up for your target audience.

Look for niche keywords or markets that others haven't yet found. Such keywords have the magic combination of being relatively popular searches, but having little competition. Wordtracker provides a measurement for this - KEI or keyword effectiveness index.

Use well targeted keywords instead of general keywords. Use the word "mouse" instead of "computer peripherals". Keywords too general will miss clients after all. In this case, more accurate and descriptive keywords such as optical mouse, wireless mouse or blue tooth mouse should be given enough consideration.

When you've chosen your keyword list, you can use it for your website or for PPC campaign. It's really up to you. It's important that keywords are closely related to each other so you bring targeted traffic to your website.

Most internet surfers reach any website through keywords search; hence finding the right keywords that drive targeted traffic is the most important step in any internet business. You must continue to fine tune your list until you find a group of money keywords that drive more targeted traffics and make more sales.

Keyword Anaylsis Tips
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo
Keyword analysis research should be a primary tool you use in your internet marketing business. Without the right keywords, you might as well be selling bags of sand in the desert. You need a system to be able to find the right keywords, and then determine if these keywords will pull in the highly targeted website traffic you need.

Keyword analysis is the life blood of search engine optimization (SEO). Using only a web browser you can now access powerful tools available free online to help you in this endeavor. Keyword analysis should be the cornerstone of all on-page and off-page optimization strategies. Do not get caught optimizing your site "in the dark".

A keyword analysis will give you a list of about 10 of the best words and phrases to bring you targeted leads. These keywords will be used in your title tags, meta tags, body text and more. A professional analysis will also be of great value when creating pay per click campaigns and writing articles and press releases to promote your website.

These tools also allow you to check the keyword density for any content you intend to put on your website. This is vital as websites which have a high keyword density ' normally over 2% - are seen as using keyword stuffing. Doing this can have an adverse effect on a website's rankings as a site with too many keywords is not seen as a quality site.

There are many ways to find an effective keyword, in fact, there are a number of research tools out there designed to give you the best keywords for your webpage. It is very wise to use tons of long-tail keywords. Long tail keywords are keywords with 3 or more words in the phrase. An example of a short keyword phrase is "traveling tips". An example of a long-tail keyword is "European traveling tips".

It is also important to analyze your keywords to avoid getting into keyword stuffing unintentionally. There are times when web marketers do keyword stuffing without knowing it. But intentional or unintentional, web marketers doing keyword stuffing still get penalized.

Do not choose keywords merely because they have a high PPC. Most high PPC keywords do not stay high forever. Also, every 'get-rich-quick' Webmaster is targeting those keywords, so there will be lots of competition from established players and you'll be buried in the results.

There are many different tools you can use to do keyword analysis research. Some are free and some require a fee. They all will help you drive traffic to your site. The key to web traffic is in the keywords, it is important to know how keywords work and the best way to do that is with a keyword selector tool.

Your ideal keyword analysis research will be a high search keyword phrase with little competition and these are pretty easy to find if you dig deep enough. There is not much point in targeting a highly searched phrase such as mortgage as you will be up against millions of competing sites.

Website Traffic Analysis
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo

Traffic analysis will definitely help web advertisers and owners of search engines to get an idea of the web traffic that is taking place on a particular website. The commercial significance of this would be it would give the advertiser as to whether he is getting his money's worth or whether he needs to shift to another web portal.

Understanding your website traffic is a decisive part of your search engine optimization efforts. For example, knowing what kind of keywords you have got employed in the search engines are getting the targeted visitors that you wanted will help you increase your keyword marketing efforts

A quick Internet search will reveal that there many free services and traffic analysis programs out there that will let you check and monitor your own statistics. Remember that this is an ongoing venture because you will have to check your statistics on a fairly regular basis to check your websites health. So it will be better in the long run to learn to do your own analysis and save yourself heaps of ongoing costs.

To use Google Analytics, you need to be the owner of a Google account. Once you have registered for a free account, you can proceed to add a new website profile for your site. If you have multiple sites, you can add multiple profiles. Once you have added a site, a code snippet will be provided. All you need to do is to copy and paste the Javascript snippet on to all your web pages.

Lots Of Hits Are Good. Okay, this is a big boo-boo right here. If you have a traffic counter to track the number of visits to your site then hits is an overlooked issue. Hits are nothing more than the number of page views. So, if the same visitor goes to your page 2 times its 2 hits exactly. You should instead lookout for unique visitors.

Checking your traffic analysis is something that should be done regularly, it is important to monitor your websites progress. Therefore it is far better to do this yourself instead of constantly paying someone for the task.

Traffic analysis is something that you must do constantly to check your websites performance. It is much better to keep your money by doing this simple job yourself instead of farming the work out. At least until you are making a decent profit.

One of the most useful statistics that traffic analysis can provide are the number of visitors to your site, and the number that visited each individual page on your site. This can be provided on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, so that you can find out if there is any daily pattern, such as if any pages are most frequently visited on certain days of the week.

Traffic analysis can tell you from which countries your traffic is coming, and what browsers your visitors use to reach you. From the amount of time that each visitor stays on your site, you determine if a significant number of short visits are from specific browsers. This lets you know that you should find out how your website resolves in these browsers, and try to make it universal.

How Search Engine Works?
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo
Before you begin the task of optimizing your website for search engines it is important to have an understanding of how they work. It would be almost impossible to optimize a website and achieve top search engine rankings without having some idea as to how they work and what is a search engine is trying to do when it ranks a site.

Use of spiders - Search engines crawl the web, employing automated programs called spiders or bots. The hyperlink structure of the web allows these spiders to crawl an estimated 8-10 billion of the approximately 20 billion pages and documents that make up the World Wide Web.

In basic terms the search engine can only do using how your page looks & additional information about your site that it can collect using spiders. This additional information consists of what is basically a popularity contest. The more links that you have to your site the higher up the rankings you will be.

When a user comes to the search engine and makes a query, typically by giving keywords, the engine looks up the index and provides a listing of best-matching web pages according to its criteria, usually with a short summary containing the document's title and sometimes parts of the text.

To make the reading of the search results easier, the search engines ranks the results. Relevance is the key criteria in the ranking and the results are provided in descending order. This ranking is created by algorithms that are constantly monitoring relevance. Relevance can include the age of a document, the number of links to a document, and the keywords in the document.

Every single SEO project is different because no 2 businesses are exactly the same and need their own goals identified and strategy implemented. The Google search engine is the most widely used search engine, however you really need to include all the major search engines when developing your internet marketing strategy.

Now after the page is crawled, it is then indexed and stored in a large database. From here SE's rank/list your site for relevant search terms. Now this priority is decided by Page Rank also know as PR as well as your keywords and number of pages indexed. We will discuss each of them later. So your goal should be to get maximum of your pages crawled so that your site get's indexed faster.

Functions like bold and italics of your keywords will render better results in search engines. The inbound links in your website will ensure that you improve the way you do search engine optimizations, further it is important to note the fact that sitemaps are very effective to generate greater interior links to your site.

Choosing good and relevant keywords for you website is the most important aspect for getting your website well ranked. The other important aspect is to make sure that your website is content rich and relevant. Make sure that you do your research thoroughly before launching your new website. Last but not least, make sure that you update your website frequently with fresh and relevant content.

How Search Engine Spider Work?
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo
A search engine spider is a robot that crawls around the world wide web. They are also sometimes called crawlers. They use an algorithmic programme that follows links throughout the net searching for new content. This then fetches the new web pages and adds them to the search engine indexes. Google is a crawler-based search engine, as it relies on spiders to automatically create its listings.

When a search engine robot visits your Web page, it is important to understand a few things if you are hoping to get your Web page indexed. Search Engine Robots are simply software programs that come out to your Web page, capture certain data and then return that data to the search engine from where it came.

So what are spiders for? Their primary purpose at one time was to make a list of all the web pages that could be found on the web, using the word 'web' in the true sense of the word, as URLs that can be resolved by search engines, as opposed to the internet, which is the railroad track that these sites use to communicate and connect with each other.

Spiders look for links, page ranking and refreshment of your site among many, many more aspects of your website and each page on it. Nobody except the spider designers know exactly what they are looking for. Spiders are genius mathematicians, and they use mathematical statistical analysis to come to a decision on your site. You can work out part of that equation based on results you see, but you will never crack the code.

However, spiders are fat and lazy and get tired easily. The whole World Wide Web is vast, and a spider cannot, or refuses to, crawl more than 20% of it. It is important, then, that you make sure that you are one of that 20% by screaming at it to stop and jump into your part of the web. That is what your keywords do. Once they get there you need more than keywords to keep them there, and that is where your meta tags and content get working.

If the spider encounters a link, it will record the data and send another bot to follow that particular link, again recording all the data along the way. This is why outbound and inbound links are so important. As spiders are going from one website to the other and it so happens that the link that the spider is on keeps going back to your site, search engines will value your website more. Improving your ranking.

Remember that spiders and crawlers do not need to be submitted to for them to find you. There are actually good reasons not to use submission software but you are wiser to link to a new site from a Blog or another site that you know is already being indexed. Remember that you will still need to submit to directories though because there, you are dealing with human editors and not robots.

Top Ways to Promote Website
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo
You have placed some ads, submitted to the search engines and joined a forum, is there anything more you can do? Some of you may have gone further than this which is an excellent start, but remember website promotion never stops. One thing that does happen to a lot of Internet Businesses is they promote the same way over and over and honestly it can get boring.

Classified ads an also be used when promoting your website and it is low cost especially when compared to other paid advertising channels. You are also able to reach your target audience enabling better ad performance results. If you ever have lurked n chat rooms then you are aware of this channel as well.

Increase your link popularity: Links are the life-line of your website. It is very difficult to earn a full-time income without having thousands of inbound links to your website. To increase your link popularity, you can submit your website to link directories, socially bookmark your blog posts, comment on other people's blogs and leave a link, participate in forums and have your website link in the signature box.

Open up a Facebook personal account in your business name, and fill in whatever details you want the main aim of the game is to get exposure. You can ask/add people you know as friends and then go into their friends and add them, just keep adding even people you don't know.

Banner Ads

Creating banners promoting your website can be a good idea if you have somewhere to put them. Banner ads offer you a way to promote your site on other sites. Again, you will want to choose websites that are within your niche market. A banner selling candles on a hockey website is not going to get you the type of traffic you are looking for.

Use social media to increase your site's exposure. Sign up at sites like Facebook and MySpace. Include the link to your site. Build a community around your product and use the public to help create buzz about your site.

Promote your website through joint ventures. A joint venture partner will send out an email to their whole list about your website. You will then have a whole new, larger list that you can promote to. The bottom of the email should have a link to your website and offer incentives.

Another way to promote your website, while not free but definitely inexpensively, is to make sure that any piece of printed material you use for your business, from business cards to letterhead to shopping bags, has your website printed on it. Just like any other marketing message, the more people see your website address, the more likely they are to remember it.

Social Bookmarking - You can create a relationship with other people on the social bookmarking sites like, Facebook, MySpace, twitter as examples there are more. Socially interact and gain their trust and they will recognize your brand. This is a way of making your site a brand name or branding technique. In addition, you can put back links to your website on some of these social site.

How to Target Best Keywords
Mood:  happy
Topic: Seo
Choosing your keyword phrases for your website is only half of the equation. The other half is knowing how to use these keyword phrases efficient on the page. It is a common mistake to overlook some aspects on where the use of your keywords might improve your rankings.

A good free one is the Google Adwords keyword tool. Purchased options usually provide more extensive analysis. Since this is such an important aspect to your marketing I suggest you use a few tools in cross reference and when you can, use at least one paid option so you can compare the differences in results.

To make sure that your website is targeting the correct keywords for your business and the products/services associated with your business you need to conduct some level of keyword research. This keyword research is the building block for search engine optimisation.

Choosing the proper keywords can be the difference between making money and not making money online. If you don't choose the proper keywords to begin with, you can spend a lot of time and effort working to dominate a keyword that you'll never dominate. It is good advice, especially if you're just beginning your online business, to target keywords that are valuable but have little competition.

The best way to research keyword phrases is by using one of the many keyword tools available today. Just do a Google search for 'keyword tools' and start shopping. Some are free, and some require a subscription. I recommend Wordtracker because it offers several ways to search and compare keywords and sub keywords.

How to target these keywords- Targeting these keywords is very simple. To do this, you will need to put this keyword in bold every time it is used in your writing. It should be used once about every 75 words. It is also important to use your keywords as the title of your writing. Search engines will see the density of these keywords and put your site under that keyword on the search engine.

If you are selling a specific item such as only snowman ornaments you would make sure you put that in the title instead. Do not use words that are unimportant to start your title such as the, as, etc. Try to use a title that will be captivating to your readers. Lastly, make sure your title gives a great hint what the reader is going to learn from the article and follow through.

Do not try to get keywords that are too competitive. Whether you are using AdWords, article marketing, or search engine optimization, do not go for keywords that are super competitive. Instead, try to find those hidden gems, which are words that are searched often but have little competition. Remember, there is an infinite number of combinations of keywords, so just keep experimenting until you find something that works for you.

Use keyword suggestion tools. When you already have some keywords at hand or perhaps in your mind, you can make use of keyword suggestion tools. These come in the form of downloadable programs or web-based applications that will help you in determining which of them will be ideal for your website.
